Employment and the Americans with Disabilities Act audio conference
|
Join ADA-Indiana on February 21 for “Pre-Employment Testing and Leave as an Accommodation,” part two of a special four-part audio conference series on Employment and the Americans with Disabilities Act. Guest speaker Adele Rapport, an attorney with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, will discuss two important topics in employment: Pre-employment testing and the interplay between the ADA and the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA). Participants can expect to learn about what is a permissible “test” and what the “gray” areas are under the ADA. She will also clarify how “leave” applies under the ADA and FMLA. The audio conference will be held on Tuesday February 21, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the University of Southern Indiana in Science Center Room 1212 (SC 1212). The session will be of special interest to employment specialists, human resource personnel in the private and public sectors, and other interested community members. SPHR, PHR, and CRC credits are available. To request an accommodation, or for more information, contact Gary May at 812/465-1694 or e-mail: gmay@usi.edu |
