Varsity Club Outback Luncheon raises funds for student athletes
Eat all the steak, chicken, and appetizers you can, and help out USI’s student athletes, by attending the annual Varsity Club Outback Luncheon on Tuesday, April 4.USI coaches and administrative staff will be on hand to serve the public at two seatings, at 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., at Outback Steakhouse, 7201 E. Indiana Street, just off the Lloyd Expressway on Evansville’s east side. Tickets are $20, and include all-you-can-eat fried mushrooms, Buffalo wings, chicken and steak, and Outback’s famous Bloomin' Onion. Beverages are included. One hundred percent of proceeds benefit the USI Varsity Club. Tips will be accepted. “It’s a good way to treat business clients, or family and friends to a special lunch, and it’s a fun thing. Our coaches will cater to your every whim,” said Sandra Hatfield, administrative assistant in Athletics. “It’s an enjoyable way to spend your lunch hour.” The restaurant is ordinarily closed during the lunch hour, but opens for special events such as the Varsity Club Outback Luncheon. For tickets, call Hatfield at 812/464-1973 or stop by the Varsity Club Office on the third floor of the Physical Activities Center. Tickets are also available from members of the Varsity Club board. Last year’s Varsity Club Outback Luncheon raised just under $10,000 for student athletes. |
