Two taxation-related seminars in Evansville

A nationally recognized expert on taxation will present two one-day seminars for tax, accounting, and legal professionals in May sponsored by Extended Services at the University of Southern Indiana. The training programs will be held at the National Guard Armory, Rm. 203 in Evansville. Income, Gift and Estate Tax Aspects of Marriage, Divorce, Annulment, and Separation will be offered May 18 and What Every Practitioner Should Know About the Tax (Income, Gift, and Estate) and Non-Tax Aspects of Life will be offered May 19. The expert presenter is George Schain, J.D. whose combination of experiences includes tax project manager for the American Institute of CPAs and on staff at the National Tax Training Department of Coopers & Lybrand, now known as PricewaterhouseCoopers. He has been an Internal Revenue Service (IRS) appeals officer specializing in the final settlement of federal income, estate, and gift tax controversies outside of court, and an estate tax attorney, revenue agent, and revenue officer for the IRS. Schain has been on the faculty for prominent law schools, a law instructor for the IRS, and an in-house training provider for the American Bar Association.
