ADA-Indiana audio conference on “Creating Accessible Play Areas”

Join ADA-Indiana for Part I of a two-part audio conference on the “built environment,” “Creating Accessible Play Areas,” at University of Southern Indiana. This session will explore the state of the “science” as it is currently being practiced by recreation professionals and manufacturers. Key topics will include play-area surface materials and designing accessible play components for both large and small systems. The guest speaker will be Jennifer Skulski, director of Marketing and Special Projects, National Center on Accessibility, Indiana University. “Creating Accessible Play Areas” will be held from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 16, in the Science Center Room 1212 (SC 1212) at USI. It will be special of interest to architects, educators, parks and recreation professionals, people with disabilities, and other interested community members. AIA and CRC credits are available.
