Feldhaus is highest scorer on USPS certification exam
|
Larry Feldhaus, manager of Mail and Courier Services, achieved the highest score on the United States Post Office’s test for Mail Piece Quality Control certification at the annual University Mail Managers Association Conference, held June 6-9 at Michigan State University. The exhaustive test involves extensive knowledge in bar-coding specifications and requirements, mail classes and processing categories, addressing and return address information, endorsements, reply mail, permit imprints and hazardous materials. Four individuals passed the test and will be presented with the Mail Piece Quality Control certificate from USPS. “Larry’s knowledge continues to ensure the University is able to benefit from significantly reduced postage costs and improved product deliverability for all classes of mail,” said Jim Ahrens, assistant director of Procurement and Distribution Services. “It is not uncommon for local USPS representatives to acknowledge that Larry is more knowledgeable than they are regarding USPS regulations.” The University Mail Managers Association Conference (UMMA) was established in 1979 and is one of the oldest organizations of college and university mail center managers in the country. |
