Baker elected chair of Trustees
The USI Board of Trustees elected officers for the year at the Trustees annual meeting on July 6. Bruce Baker of Newburgh is chair. Baker was appointed to the Board in 1989, and he was re-appointed in 1991, 1995, 1999, and 2003. He was vice chair and chaired the Finance Committee from 1990 through 1992. From 1992 to 1997, he was chair of the Board. He was named vice chair, chairing the Long-Range Planning Committee from 1997 to 2006. Baker has represented the Board of Trustees on the USI Foundation Board from 1997 to the present, and he represented the Board of Trustees on the USI/NH Foundation Board from 1993 through 1997. He is the Newburgh Health Care Center owner and lives in Newburgh with his wife Carol. Vice chairs are Frank F. McDonald II ’73 and James L. Will, Sr., both of Evansville. McDonald is chair of the Finance/Audit Committee and Will leads the Long-Range Planning Committee. Lauren C. Fultz ’07, the student member of the Board from Seymour, Indiana, is secretary. |
