Kelly Dillon '92 to speak at New Student Convocation

USI graduate Kelly Dillon ‘92 is the keynote speaker at the 2006 New Student Convocation, to be held from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 25, in the Physical Activities Center. Dillon is manager of public affairs and purchasing at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indiana (TMMI). She graduated from USI with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration. Dillon will offer the top 10 pieces of advice she wished she had listened to when she was in college, and will discuss Toyota’s philosophy of “building people” - teaching mutual responsibility and working toward team goals. At Toyota, her responsibilities include coordinating media, community, government, philanthropy, volunteer, and purchasing activities. Prior to joining TMMI, she was a private client officer with Old National Bank. From 1996-2002 she served as the vice president of membership and marketing for the Metropolitan Evansville Chamber of Commerce and also served one year as interim president and CEO. The Convocation is the official welcome and induction of all new freshmen and transfer students into the University community. All new students are expected to attend.
