Take an Outdoor Adventure with USI!
The University's Office of Recreation, Fitness, and Wellness Outdoor Adventure program introduces students to the beautiful Tri-state area with many exciting outdoor opportunities - most of which are free to USI students. Whether you seek a challenging rock climb, an exciting canoe trip, or a caving expedition, the Outdoor Adventure program staff can help you find the trip that is right for you. This semester, an overnight camping and canoeing trip to the Blue River near Milltown, Indiana, and a hiking trip to Garden of the Gods in southern Illinois are among the offerings. Most trips are designed to accommodate beginners, and offer those with experience opportunities to gain more skills. For the Outdoor Adventures Program itinerary for fall 2006 and spring 2007, click here. Most of the trips (excluding a two-day whitewater rafting trip and a skiing trip to Paoli, Indiana) are free and include meals and transportation. Call 812/465-1110 for more information. |
