Assessment Day is November 14
|
USI students who are first-time, full-time freshmen, juniors who started their college career at USI, and seniors majoring in select programs will participate in testing during Assessment Day on Tuesday, November 14. Testing will take place in the Health Professions Center, Education Center, Orr Center, and Liberal Arts Center. Three testing sessions will be offered at 8:30 a.m., 1 p.m., and 6 p.m. Students will be notified by mail and/or through email (usieagles.org) as to the time and place of their testing session. Students with a last name starting with P – Z are scheduled for 8:30 a.m., G – O are scheduled for 1 p.m., and students with a last name beginning with A – F are scheduled for 6 p.m. Students are required to participate. Students without an excused absence will have a hold placed on their pre-registration privileges, and will register during open registration. “Assessment Day signals the importance USI places in the assessment and evaluation processes. The more we know about how our students are doing, the better we are able to strengthen academic programs to meet their learning needs,” said Dr. Linda L.M. Bennett, provost and vice president for Academic Affairs. “We use the data to measure student performance across programs, and for comparison with students at other universities. Classes are not scheduled for Assessment Day, and there will be no early registration that day. |
