Success Series workshops for November

Academic Skills and the University Division Advising are sponsoring the following Success Series workshops in November. These 30-minute interactive workshops are free and open to students, faculty, and staff. Note that the workshops are held at various times and in various rooms. • Exploring Careers, 3-3:30 p.m. November 1, Education Center Room 1103. This workshop will show you how to start exploring your interests, abilities and work values. You will also obtain information on how to learn about various careers. Attendees will receive their own personal password to access an on-line career exploration program. Presented by Stephanie Hamington, University Division director. • Find Your Way Through Your GPA, 3-3:30 p.m. November 8, Education Center Room 1102. Learn how to calculate your collegiate GPA. Presented by Renee Rowland, University Division advisor and Cyd Fithian, assistant math specialist in Academic Skills. • Don’t Delay!: Anti-Procrastination Techniques, 4-4:30 p.m. November 15, Education Center Room 1102. If you procrastinate, this session will give you techniques for prioritizing and completing your academic workload. Presented by Deanna Odney, writing specialist, Academic Skills. • College Game of Life, 4:30-5 p.m. November 28, Education Center Room 1102. Learn how to have financial balance in your life. Presented by Brian Hinterscher, University Division advisor. • Countdown to Finals, 3-3:30 p.m. November 29 and 4-4:30 p.m. November 30, Education Center Room 1103.
