Krug named Advancement VP at USI
Annie M. Krug has been named vice president for Advancement at the University of Southern Indiana. Her career includes 10 years with USI as director of Special Events and most recently as vice president for Advancement at Rockford College in Rockford, Illinois. She will assume the position held by Sherrianne Standley, who has served USI for three decades and is retiring in 2007. Krug’s appointment will begin February 1, 2007.As vice president for Advancement, Krug will direct fund-raising efforts, alumni relations, printing services, special events, and marketing and communications for USI. Commenting on the appointment, Krug said, “It is a distinct opportunity to be a part of the USI community again. The University of Southern Indiana is a dynamic institution.” Krug directed the USI Office of Special Events from 1989 to 1992 and from 1995 to 2002. She was responsible for department-wide administration of all aspects of event, scheduling, and conference services. She also worked in development for two years with the Fort Sanders Health System in Knoxville, Tennessee. Upon announcing the new vice president, President H. Ray Hoops said, “We are pleased to attract someone of Ms. Krug’s caliber to the position of vice president for Advancement. She will play an important role at the University of Southern Indiana.” A regional and national presenter on brand implementation and brand management, Krug launched strategic initiatives for strengthening the institutional brand and messages at Rockford College. She also had responsibility for fund raising and alumni cultivation. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College and an M.A. degree from Rockford College. She holds certification through the Center on Philanthropy, the Association of Healthcare Philanthropy, and Council for Advancement and Support of Education. |
