500 Festival Princess Program accepting applications

The 500 Festival is accepting applications for the 2007 Princess Program.

Applications are online at www.500festival.com. Click on "Events" and then "Princess Program." Deadline for the application is January 5, 2007.

Princesses are ambassadors for the city of Indianapolis during the month of May and have the opportunity to cheer on the participants of the mini-marathon, volunteer at the Speedway during Education Days for Indiana's Youth, march in the parade, and take a ceremonial lap preceding the "Greatest Spectacle in Racing."

Every princess is paired up with a director - someone from the festival board of directors who will mentor and guide their princess through internships, networking contacts, and employment assistance.
