Building unity
Greek Week, a popular observation on college campuses, will be held at the University of Southern Indiana starting March 26. The week of service and celebration supports pride among members of sororities and fraternities, shows the impact of Greek organizations on campus, and provides a variety of activities for students. Students coordinate week’s events USI students Ashley B. Gora of Crown Point, Indiana, and Brian M. Deardurff of Valparaiso, Indiana, are vice presidents for programming for Panhellenic and the Interfraternity Council. They are coordinating the activities for Greek Week. Greek Week 2007 Events for the week include a philanthropy night, a bowling tournament, dance competition, and volleyball competition. The Greek Olympics will be held beginning at noon on Sunday, April 1 and an awards ceremony will be held that evening starting at 6 p.m. to name an overall winner. The final event for Greek Week is a faculty appreciation reception planned for 3 p.m. on April 2 in Carter Hall of the University Center.
