Dr. Timothy Miller, an expert on communal societies and alternative religions, will present the USI Center for Communal Studies Lecture at noon Wednesday, March 28 in Kleymeyer Hall in the Liberal Arts Center at USI.The title of his talk is "Communal Solutions for Today's World: Peak Oil, Sustainable Lifestyles, Eco-villages and Co-housing." Miller is a professor of Religious Studies at the University of Kansas and the author of "The 60s Communes: Hippies and Beyond," "The Quest for Utopia in Twentieth-Century America," "America's Alternative Religions," "The Hippies and American Values," and "American Communes, 1860-1960: A Bibliography."
