Sala Wong, assistant professor of digital art at Indiana State University-Terre Haute, will serve as juror of 37th Annual USI Juried Student Art Exhibition and present a lecture, “Digital Boundaries,” at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 29, in Kleymeyer Hall in the Liberal Arts Center. The lecture is free and open to the public. Wong holds an MFA in imaging and digital arts from the University of Maryland. She works with physical media, computer-controlled environments, wearable art, and net art. Her multimedia installations explore the boundaries between real and virtual, the traditional and digital enhanced environments, as well as the social issues of diversity in art and culture. Wong’s work has been exhibited internationally, including Japan, Thailand, Russia, Finland, Estonia, the U.S., and Canada. The Juried Student Art Exhibition will run April 1-10 in the University Conference Center. A reception will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 1, with the awards ceremony at 3 p.m. that day. The exhibition will be open from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. weekdays (except Good Friday, April 6, when it will be closed) and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, April 7-8.
