Final Southern Hospitality Day set for April 14

An opportunity to visit the University of Southern Indiana is open to high school students and their parents on Saturday, April 14 when USI Office of Admission hosts the final Southern Hospitality Day for the spring semester. Guests will have the opportunity to meet faculty and current students, attend academic interest and financial assistance sessions, and tour academic buildings and housing. Southern Hospitality Day, an event for those interested in attending the University of Southern Indiana, will acquaint visitors with the programs and services available to students. Southern Hospitality Day registration begins at 8 a.m. (Central Standard Time). The welcome presentation begins at 8:30 a.m. followed by two 25-minute interest sessions. All academic areas will be represented during the interest sessions. After the interest sessions, a walking tour of the academic buildings is provided followed by a financial aid presentation. Lunch, which is provided at no charge, is available to visitors. A tour of residence halls and apartments follows lunch. The offices of Admission and Financial Assistance will be open to answer questions. There is no charge for the program, but reservations are needed. Other visit options are open to persons who cannot attend Southern Hospitality Day. Individual visits to the University of Southern Indiana can be scheduled on weekdays between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. and on Saturdays between 9 a.m. and noon. And the USI Web site at www.usi.edu provides an introduction to the University and information about academic programs, financial assistance, housing options, and more. |
