Glass artist to lecture at USI

Debbie Tarsitano, a Massachusetts-based glass artist, will present a slideshow/lecture at 11 a.m. Friday, April 20, in Kleymeyer Hall in the Liberal Arts Center. Her exhibition Transitional Glass: the Art of Debbie Tarsitano will be on display at the Evansville Museum of Art, History, and Science April 21–June 1. Tarsitano’s work has been widely exhibited both nationally and internationally, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Museum of Contemporary Craft in New York and the Staedtisches Museum in Braunschweig, Germany. She has taught at the Corning Museum of Glass in Corning, New York. Her glass art is in the permanent collections of the Art Institute of Chicago, the Smithsonian, the Flint Institute of Art, and the John Nelson Bergstrom Art Center, among other institutions.
