Bid on chance to golf with Rick Herdes and Bruce Pearl

The 31st annual Varsity Club Golf Scramble, scheduled for June 14, will have an added attraction this year – the chance to play nine holes with USI Head Coach Rick Herdes and University of Tennessee Head Coach Bruce Pearl. Golfers have the chance for this opportunity by bidding for the right to play with the two championship coaches in a sealed auction. Pearl has agreed to play nine holes with the top bidders in the 7:30 a.m. flight, while Herdes will complete the round with the high bidders. Golfers must submit their sealed auction bids to the USI Varsity Club Office no later than May 17. Bids can be mailed to the USI Varsity Club Office, 8600 University Blvd., Evansville, Indiana 47712 or emailed to Sandy Hatfield in the Varsity Club office at hatfield@usi.edu. The opening bid is $500 each. Winners will be announced at the USI Varsity Club Annual Membership meeting on May 17. Openings for foursomes are available for the morning session with a sign-up deadline of May 17. Entry fees are $125 per person and include your green fee, cart and awards banquet. Corporate Hole Sponsors - Gold Eagle ($1,000, includes signage and golf), Silver Eagle ($700 includes signage and golf) and Bronze Eagle ($200 includes signage only) - are also being accepted. |
