ADA-Indiana May audio conference: ADA Restoration Act Legislative Update

ADA-Indiana invites the public to attend its May audio conference, "ADA Restoration Act: Legislative Update." Legislation to restore the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) is likely to be introduced in the current session of Congress. The ADA Restoration Act, as this legislation has been called, will address several decisions on the ADA made by the U.S. Supreme Court. The audio conference panel will review the history and intent of the ADA Restoration Act and how the legislation will impact the future of people with disabilities. Guest speaker: Andrew J. Imparato, president and CEO, American Association of Persons with Disabilities (AAPD). Who should attend? Advocates, people with disabilities, and other interested community members. Where: University of Southern Indiana, Science Room 1212 (SC1212). When: Tuesday, May 15th from 1:00-2:30 pm. CRC credits will be offered.
