The New Harmony Theatre seeks volunteer ushers for its 2007 season
|
The New Harmony Theatre seeks volunteer ushers for its 2007 season. Ushers are not paid, but receive a complimentary ticket to stay and watch the performance for which they usher. According to Melissa Panzarello, house manager, usher spots are still available for many performances. The New Harmony Theatre season begins June 8 and runs through August 12. All performances take place in Murphy Auditorium at 419 Tavern Street in New Harmony. Ushers take tickets, hand out playbills, and help patrons find their seats before the play begins. Just before the play starts, ushers take their seats and watch the show with other audience members. This season’s productions include Amadeus running June 8–24; The Importance of Being Earnest running July 6–22; and I Do! I Do! running July 27–August 12. Performance times are Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m., Sundays at 2 p.m., and Thursdays at 7:30 p.m. To volunteer, please call The New Harmony Theatre administrative office at 812/465-1668. |
