Philharmonic offers student discount for Edgar Meyer concert

The Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra is offering USI students a special "Student Rush" offer this weekend for "Opening Night with Edgar Meyer," the guest performer.

Grammy award-winning double bassist Edgar Meyer has collaborated with world-renowned cellist Yo-Yo Ma, Joshua Bell, Hank Williams, Jr., Garth Brooks, Reba McIntyre, and James Taylor.

Students can purchase a ticket one hour before the performance for $12, a savings of $15 off regular ticket prices.

Students purchase tickets at the Sixth Street entrance of the Victory Theatre starting at 7 p.m. on Saturday, September 15. Student ID is required and the offer is based upon availability. The performance begins at 8 p.m.

Immediately following the concert the entire audience is invited to a free dessert reception.
