Instructional Technology wins international awards for video
|
Instructional Technology Services recently received five 2007 International Davey Awards for a promotional video production created for the Pott College of Science and Engineering. The production crew earned three gold awards in the categories of recruitment, editing, and music, and two silver awards in the categories of education and copywriting. The DVD, entitled “Learning Science by Doing Science,” includes all original music and was shot in high-definition video. The project was written and produced over the past year. “It’s easy to make the University of Southern Indiana look good, but our team also works hard to produce a high-quality video production. It’s very nice to be recognized for that effort,” said Dana Willett, director of Instructional Technology Services. The ITS production team includes Andrew Black and David Le Roy and is currently at work developing a video project for the Office of International Programs and video elements for distance education courses. Several video productions created by the department have aired locally on WNIN. The Davey Awards are judged by the International Academy of Visual Arts (IAVA). More than 4,000 entries were received from around the world. Wendy Knipe Bredhold News and Information Services wkbredhold@usi.edu 812/461-5259 |
