Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Indiana, Inc. (TMMI) will make a presentation to the campaign for support of the new Business and Engineering Center at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 23, 2008 in Mitchell Auditorium at the University of Southern Indiana. Mitchell Auditorium is in the Health Professions Center, the first building located along University Boulevard. Toyota representatives at the presentation will include Shaun Koyama, president of Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Indiana; R. J. Reynolds, vice president of Administration at the Princeton, Indiana plant; Laura Heck, Public Affairs specialist, and Connie Wellmeyer, assistant general manager, Corporate Services. Dr. H. Ray Hoops, president of USI, and David Bower, director of University Development, will attend the 10-minute presentation. The USI Business and Engineering Center will serve both business and engineering programs interdependently, providing both dedicated and shared classroom and laboratory space. The majority of the funding of the $31.9 million building was approved by the 2007 General Assembly with $2 million supplemental support raised by business and private contributions. Construction of the new building is expected to begin in fall of this year. |
