Chemistry graduate Eric Adams to talk to students February 14

The president, CEO, and director of enGene Inc. will be the Alumni-in Residence speaker for the Pott College of Science and Engineering at 3 p.m. on Thursday, February 14 in Mitchell Auditorium in the Health Professions Center at the University of Southern Indiana. Eric A. Adams, a 1986 USI graduate, has more than 19 years’ management experience in international business development, marketing, mergers and acquisitions, and sales in pharmaceutical and related healthcare industries. His topic will be “What can’t you do with your USI degree?” A biotechnology company, enGene Inc. is developing an innovative therapeutic platform, which is targeted to induce normal cells in the intestinal tract to produce a wide range of proteins to treat such diseases as diabetes, obesity, GI disorders, and hemophilia. He is co-founder of a biopharmaceutical technology company, a founding member and director of Omnitech Capital Corporation, and a member of the Pott College Board of Advisors. In addition to his USI degree, Adams holds a Master of International Business Studies degree from the University of South Carolina. He is a graduate of North Posey High School. He resides in Vancouver, British Columbia with his wife Aileen and sons Declan and Aidan. |
