New Harmony Gallery of Contemporary Art proudly presents “USI Senior Seminar Exhibitions I and II,” the annual pair of art exhibitions featuring the best work from USI seniors in studio and graphic arts.

Exhibition I runs February 16-26 and Exhibition II runs March 1-11. The reception for the artists in Exhibition I will be held on Saturday, February 16, from 4 to 6 p.m. and the reception for the artists in Exhibition II will be held Saturday, March 1, from 4 to 6 p.m. Both are free and open to the public.

“USI Senior Seminar Exhibitions I and II” consists of four classes of graduating seniors from the University’s art department. These exhibitions promise to be lively and diverse mixes of artistic approaches and philosophies. Exhibition I will highlight studio art while Exhibition II will showcase graphic art. Each senior has contributed at least one piece of art in their area of concentration. All media will be represented. All works in these exhibitions were created by the senior seminar students while enrolled in the art program at USI.

Senior graphic design major Shawn Riley won the annual poster competition to promote the seminar exhibitions. His design was selected by his fellow senior art majors. Riley, a Harrison High School graduate from Evansville, chose an image of the Mona Lisa incorporating the names of all the seniors in the studio and graphic art courses. The end result utilizes a famous painting that people recognize immediately formed with typography and graphic design.

They are: Andrew Ahaus, Keala Alldredge, Cam Baechle, Larry Bailey, Jr., Thomas Bernardin, Lisa Booe, Ashleigh Brown, Katherine Chandler, Dana Clewlow-Bray, Deain Dilger, Angel Dockham, Katherine Elpers, Megan Fallon, Nicholas Folz, Jessica Graves, Aireal Hall, Jeff Hamilton, Adam Higdon, Nicole Higdon, Beth Johnson, Dawn Johnson, Katie Katterhenry, Rachel Kern, Patti Kiegel, Brian Martin, Nicholas Mason, Robin McCarty, Meghan McReynolds, Daniel McVay, Amy Moore, David Rigdon, Thomas Riley, Laura Ross, Philip Schaber, Scott, Scheller, Kali Schetzsle, Kyle Schimmell, Rochelle Serra, Brittany Small, Matthew Smurthwaite, Amy Stenftenagel, Jayme Stephens, Deanna Strossner, Elizabeth Summey, Natalie Victor, Jenna Walton, Jonathan Whitman, and Amber Wynn.
