APB’s “Outdoor Movies on the Quad” start August 28
|
Activities Programming Board kicks off its “Outdoor Movies on the Quad” series with the movie “21” at 9 p.m. Thursday, August 28. “Baby Mama” will be shown at 9 p.m. Friday, September 12, and “Made of Honor” at 8 p.m. Friday, October 3. The movies will be shown on a jumbo inflatable screen on the grassy area in front of the brick wall surrounding the Labyrinth. Kathy Jones, program advisor for student activities, said, “The Quad is a great programming space. It’s centrally located, and it’s a natural hangout spot.” USI students and employees are welcome to bring blankets or just sit in the grass and enjoy the free movies. The Greek community is cosponsoring “21” and will serve free beverages, while APB will provide popcorn and other snacks. The rain location is Forum I in the Wright Administration Building for “21,” and Carter Hall in the University Center for the other two movies. APB meets at 4:30 p.m. each Wednesday in the University Center. All students are welcome. Wendy Knipe Bredhold News and Information Services wkbredhold@usi.edu 812/461-5259 |
