USI hosts Town Hall meeting for State School Superintendent candidate
|
The Indiana Middle Level Education Association (IMLEA) is sponsoring three Town Hall meetings in September to provide Indiana educators and parents the opportunity to hear both candidates for State School Superintendent discuss their educational platforms. Dr. Richard Wood, retired Superintendent of Tippecanoe School Corporation, will speak at 7 p.m. Wednesday, September 24, in Mitchell Auditorium in the Health Professions Center at the University of Southern Indiana. At the end of the presentation, audience members will have an opportunity to ask questions. Both candidates were invited to speak. Dr. Tony Bennett, Superintendent of Greater Clark County Schools, is unable to attend two of the three Town Hall meetings, including the one at USI, due to his schedule. The event is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Dr. Paul Parkison, assistant professor of education, at 812/461-5416 or pparkison@usi.edu.
