Nursing students have high pass rate on national exam
|
Graduates of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at the University of Southern Indiana this year completed the national licensing exam with results that give the USI program high standing in the state and nation. A report from the National Council Licensure Examination-Registered Nurse (NCLEX-RN) showed that 97 percent of USI students completing the exam in 2008 passed on the first attempt. The pass rate was the second highest of the 49 nursing programs in the state. The average pass rate was 83 percent. The 97 percent pass rate also puts the USI program in the top 10 percent of programs nationwide. There are 1,599 nursing schools in the United States.
