Classes at Innovation Pointe start in January
Two undergraduate classes of the University of Southern Indiana’s spring class schedule will be offered at Innovation Pointe in downtown Evansville starting in January.EDUC 196 – Foundations of Reflective Teaching will be offered on Monday nights and taught by Judy Divine. Divine has been a teacher for USI classes at the National Guard Armory, and she is offering this class at the Main Street location of Innovation Pointe. EDUC 196 is the first course in the education major – introducing many aspects of the teaching profession and how to prepare for a career in education. Students will use the classroom and occasionally the computer lab during the session. THTR 101 – Introduction to Theater will be offered on Tuesday nights at Innovation Pointe. This course offers students the opportunity to complete a core curriculum requirement in the Arts and become acquainted with many aspects of theater appreciation. Craig Young, assistant professor of theater, will teach the class. Current students can register for these classes during Open Registration on January 9 at USI; other individuals interested in these classes can apply for admission through the Office of Admission at USI. The offices, open through December 23, will be open after the holiday break beginning on Monday, January 5. Information about applying for USI admission is online at www.usi.edu. |
