MLK program will honor Moss and Hoy

USI’s Religious Life will host “Celebrate the Dream” on Sunday, January 25. The event, sponsored by The Five Church Fellowship, will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. in Mitchell Auditorium in the Health Professions Center. The purpose of the program is to honor local pioneers in diversity. The Pioneer Award Honorees this year are Estella Moss and the Rev. Phil Hoy. Program participants are the Rev. Todd Robertson, the Liberty Baptist Church Choir, vocalist Gina Moore, and the Boom Squad. Five churches began the celebration years ago, but now the Five Church Fellowship includes Dove Chapel Full Gospel Missionary Baptist Church, Forest Hills Baptist Church, Howell United Methodist Church, St. Mark United Church of Christ, St. Agnes Catholic Church, and Westside Christian Church.
