USI offers Legal Series for Small Businesses at Innovation Pointe
|
Whether you are a new start-up or a long established small business, reducing your legal risks can improve your bottom line and increase your focus on serving your clients and running your business. USI’s Legal Series for Small Business addresses three topics for today’s changing legal environment. All sessions will be conducted by attorneys from Fine and Hatfield. Associate J. Beau Dial said, “A lot of small business owners view lawyers as a cost they don’t want to deal with. Because they have that negative viewpoint on attorneys, they don’t use them in the most efficient manner, or they try to avoid them at all costs – which in the long run can cost them money.” “We are trying to get the message out that there are ways to use an attorney efficiently that will in the long run save you money.” Sessions include: When Do You Need An Attorney? Small businesses face many challenges and frequently operate on small budgets. Often, professional legal services are considered a luxury, when in fact, these services may save you time and money over the generic “form” documents currently on the market. This program is designed to educate business owners on the pitfalls with the standardized forms currently saturating the market and the rights of each business when transacting or negotiating with large companies. Beau Dial Date and time: Thursday, February 26, 2-4 p.m. Strategies to Reduce Legal Risks Against Non-Employees This session focuses on various documents and procedures that assist all businesses in minimizing the risks of lawsuits against other companies and third-party individuals.
