Danger Radio and Single File will open the concert, which starts at 8 p.m. Doors will open at 7 p.m. The concert is open to the public.According to allmusic.com, Plain White T’s hail from the suburbs of Chicago, where they formed in 1997, 10 years before the acoustic ballad "Hey There Delilah" made them stars. They received a Grammy nomination for the song in 2008. Members are Tom Higgenson, (vocals, guitar), Dave Tirio (guitar), Mike Retondo (bass guitar, backing vocals), Tim G. Lopez (guitar, backing vocals), and De'Mar Hamilton (drums, percussion). The opening acts are of a similar alternative musical style. Danger Radio is from Seattle, Washington and Single File formed in Westminster, Colorado. Ticket sales start Monday, March 30. Tickets can be purchased from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday in the USI Bookstore. Tickets are $10 for USI students with ID (limit one) and $15 for non-students. Discounted USI student tickets are made possible by the student activity fee paid by every student. No recording devices will be allowed at the concert. All bags will be searched upon entry. Kathy Jones, program advisor for Student Activities, is enthusiastic about the concert. “As the University continues to grow, we want to offer events that have campus-wide appeal. This is a great way to get the APB name out there, as well as bring entertainment to the students.” For more information call 812/465-7167 or apb@usi.edu and visit www.usi.edu/apb.
