President designate Bennett to answer student questions at Breakfast with the President
The 20th Annual Breakfast with the President event will be held from 7:45 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. Wednesday, April 15 in Carter Hall in the University Center. This annual tradition, created by the Student Alumni Association (SAA), will allow students the opportunity to discuss campus issues and concerns while having breakfast with Dr. Linda Bennett, provost and vice president for Academic Affairs. All students, faculty, staff, and alumni are invited to greet Dr. Linda Bennett, who will become the first woman president to lead the University of Southern Indiana beginning July 1, 2009. This informal event was designed to bring students together with the president designate along with other members of the USI community. A panel of six USI students will ask Bennett a series of questions about the University and campus policies. This year’s panel will include a representative from each of the following organizations: Activities Programming Board, Black Student Union, Interfraternity Council, Panhellenic Council, Student Government Association, and Student Housing Association. Breakfast is free for all students who attend. Students with a valid Eagle Access Card may pick up a free ticket at the Student Development Office, located in the lower level of the University Center. Others may call 812/465-1215 to make reservations ($7.00 per person) for the breakfast. Reservations are required for this event. For more information, contact Lisa Schaefer, assistant director of Alumni & Volunteer Services, at 812/465-1215 or ljschaefer@usi.edu. Lisa J.
