"The Big Easier Adventure" at a reduced price

The price per person is now $595 for The Big Easier Adventure: Beyond Bourbon Street, May 26-30, trip to New Orleans. The value of the trip is the same but the USI Alumni Association has underwritten a portion of the trip to lower the price. The group will stay at Hotel Monteleone, one of the French Quarter’s finest hotels. Lodging for Tuesday through Friday nights (double occupancy) is included in the trip cost. For single room occupancy, please add $100. Transportation to New Orleans is not included. Also included in the trip cost: • Dinner at Brennan’s with special wine pairing and commentary by Cellar Master Harry Hill • A five-course lunch with wine with Chef Greg Piccolo at The Bistro. • A VIP tour of the Museum of the American Cocktail. • A reception at Arnaud’s complete with a tour of their Mardi Gras costume collection. • Pre-trip get together and extensive planning materials provided by your guides. Optional activities include shopping at Canal Place and Riverwalk, Harrah’s Casino, Aquarium of the Americas, World War II Museum, Ogden Museum of Southern Art, galleries and antique shops, Jazz night clubs, carriage rides and haunted tours, and Garden District, cemetery, swamp, and plantation tours. If enough people are interested, there may be a special session at a culinary institute. The trip will be guided by Madonna Yancey and Linda Cleek, associate dean of Extended Services. Yancey has family ties in New Orleans and has been a regular visitor throughout her life.
