General Assembly honors President Hoops
 A resolution adopted by the Indiana General Assembly on March 24 honored USI President H. Ray Hoops, who retires from the University effective June 30.Dr. Linda Bennett was appointed USI's third president in January. The resolution congratulated Hoops on a successful tenure and wished him well as he finishes his last few months before retiring. It also urged Governor Mitch Daniels to further honor Hoops with a Sagamore of the Wabash Award. The resolution cited Hoops' track record of success with USI's unparalleled growth in enrollment, development of student life opportunities, and capital project investments, as well as Hoops' standing in the University community, the city, and the state.
