The keynote speaker for the Convocation is Rick Hudson '02, who graduated magna cum laude from USI and was the recipient that year of the President's Medal, the University's highest honor. He was president of the Student Government Association and involved in other student organizations. Hudson holds a master's degree in mathematics from the University of Louisville and is completing a doctorate at Indiana University. He joined USI this fall as assistant professor of mathematics. All new and transfer students are expected to attend the Convocation from 9:15 to 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 28, in the Physical Activities Center. No registration is required to participate in Welcome Week activities. |
