The New Harmony Gallery of Contemporary Art invites professional and amateur artists to submit entries for Feminist Art of Indiana, a juried exhibition highlighting Indiana's premier contemporary feminist artists.

The exhibition, which will run February 27 through April 3, 2010, is open to artists of all media working within the genre of feminist art. The juror for the exhibition is Esther Adler, curatorial assistant in the Drawings Department at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA). She was formerly with Tina Kim Fine Art in New York City and the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden in Washington, D.C.

Artists who work in sculpture, installation, performance, and new media are encouraged to apply. Artists are not limited by media, however, size of work must be reasonable and images/description of work must accurately depict size of work. Artists must have a current mailing address located in Indiana. There are no entry fees.

The deadline for submitting work is October 1, 2009. Go to www.nhgallery.com or call 812/682-3156 for more information.

New Harmony Gallery of Contemporary Art is sponsored by University of Southern Indiana and made possible through the generous support of USI, the Arts Council of Southwestern Indiana, the Indiana Arts Commission, and the National Endowment for the Arts.
