USI offers free showcase on Lean Enterprises Green Belt training program

Brandi Schwartz Marketing Coordinator Outreach & Engagement 812/464-1854 The Lean Six Sigma process includes basic Lean principles and tools that help businesses identify and eliminate defects in order to increase customer satisfaction. Participants will learn Value Stream Mapping and Analysis, 5S workplace organization, Poke-Yoke, data collection and sampling, introduction to database decision-making, statistical analysis, and the DMAIC process. The Lean Enterprises Green Belt Showcase will be led by Floyd McKeag, principal consultant with Corio Consulting of Evansville. McKeag is an ASQ-Certified Six Sigma Black Belt with over 30 years experience in production, engineering, and maintenance. He has extensive experience in lean manufacturing, quality systems, maintenance systems, management techniques, and team building. His background includes working with Lean Operations clients in manufacturing, service organizations, healthcare, and the U.S. Navy. "All organizations are looking for ways to become more profitable," said McKeag. "Lean Enterprises is a strategy that allows organizations to increase revenue by improving productivity and eliminating waste."
