Visit dates announced for provost candidates

The candidate visit days are Wednesday-Thursday, November 4-5 Monday-Tuesday, November 9-10 Monday-Tuesday, November 16-17 and Thursday-Friday, November 19-20. Four candidates have been selected for campus interviews. The name and background information for each candidate will be released three days prior to the scheduled visit date. The interview schedule will include an open session for faculty and staff. During that time, the candidate will give a presentation about his or her vision for a chief academic office at an institution like USI. The time and place for each open session is being confirmed, and a schedule will be released prior to the visits. On October 22 and 23, the search committee met at an off-campus location with 12 candidates from a 106-applicant pool. Four of the 12 candidates are being invited for a campus visit. The University expects to complete the search by the end of November. Dr. Linda L. M. Bennett was the provost and vice president of Academic Affairs at USI before she was chosen as USI's president. Dr. Nadine Coudret is serving as interim provost and vice president for Academic Affairs through the academic year. |
