Senior Seminar Exhibition showcases senior art

Wendy Knipe Bredhold Media Relations Specialist, News & Information Services 812/461-5259 The Senior Seminar is the capstone course for USI art majors. It combines discussion of current aesthetic issues in the visual arts with practical knowledge in career or graduate school preparation as well as evaluation of student artistic growth and potential. The culmination of the course is the public exhibition of the best of each senior student's art and design work. The seniors are Zach Adkins, Caleb Alldredge, Evan Appel, Carey Blackmore, Kati Chastain, Justin Collins, Rachael Dunstan, Scarlet Fields, Charlie Fithian, Kyle Fitzgerald, Allison Fleitz, Michael Frey, Casey Geiger, Matt Gentry, Brooke Grace, Alex Hatfield, Lucas Holloway, Sarah Howard, Jacob Jackson, Marion Judy, Thomas Kinner, Ronald Kitchens, Tami Klem, Eric Knepp, Matt Lange, Trevor Long, Kevin Mills, Emily Offil, Andrea Osterman, Kara Parr, Gloria Payne, Josh Powell, Kimberly Putterbaugh, Melissa Richard, Drew Richardson, Bailey Rideout, Andrea Roberson, Cody Royster, Tia Savage, Myrle Schnarr, Kallie Shappell, Angela Stevens, Thomas Storm, Benjamin Sutter, Bill Taw, Kayla Troutman, Emily Welz, Nicole Whitaker, Lauren Wiedemann, and Haley Wilzbacher. The Seminar has been held since 1990, with the first exhibition displayed At the New Harmony Gallery of Contemporary Art in January 1991. Last academic year was the first that the Senior Seminar Exhibition was held in the McCutchan Art Center/Pace Galleries, which opened in September 2008 on the USI campus. |
