Brandi Schwartz Marketing Coordinator Outreach & Engagement 812/464-1854 A maximum of $50,000 in child care subsidies will be distributed to scholarship recipients over the next five years, not to exceed $10,000 per year. Each eligible family may apply and be awarded up to $1,800 per year for child care subsidy assistance. To qualify for the scholarship, students must be Pell Grant eligible and meet the eligibility requirements of their counties' Child Care Voucher program. Since many of the voucher programs have waiting lists, this scholarship can assist families with child care tuition until they are able to obtain assistance through the voucher programs. Scholarship recipients will receive funds based on a state child care sliding scale that will determine the amount of subsidy and family co-pay they will receive to cover child care tuition. The scale will be based on each student's eligibility. If you are interested in applying for this scholarship, contact the USI Children's Learning Center at 812/464-1869. All information will remain confidential. |
