Roundabout lane restrictions start this week
|
The two southbound lanes coming onto campus will be open as usual. Drivers exiting from University Boulevard (northbound) will be restricted to one lane. As always, vehicles in the roundabout have right of way, so drivers entering the roundabout must yield. As you enter and exit campus, exercise caution and follow the 15 miles per hour speed limit. To help drivers avoid a mishap, workers can be identified by the construction vests they wear. Drivers entering campus from Clarke Lane on the east side may be directed through the parking lot during parts of the construction. Road signs will direct drivers through the correct lanes of the parking lots. During high traffic times, the orange barrels designating the lane restrictions will be moved out of the lane and on to the perimeter of the roundabout to facilitate traffic flow and reduce traffic congestion. Construction is expected to be completed by April 1, 2010. |
