USI Extended Services and the Chamber of Commerce of Southwest Indiana will sponsor Candidate School from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Friday, January 15 at Innovation Pointe in downtown Evansville. The program will provide participants with the tools necessary to successfully run for office and a working knowledge of the political process.

Participants will learn practical advice from experienced campaigners, public servants, political scientists, and party officials. Topics will include why you should run for office, defining yourself as a candidate, election law compliance, and media relations.

Registration is $50 and includes materials, lunch, and parking.
