Tracy Zeller is College of Business 2010 Alumna-in-Residence

Zeller is the owner of Tracy Zeller Jewelry. She will present the lecture, "Mind Your Own Business" in two open forums at 10 a.m. and noon in Carter Hall D in the University Center. After graduating from USI with a bachelor's degree in accounting, Zeller worked as an accountant for a local jewelry store. Eventually she realized that her true passion was the jewelry business itself. She successfully completed the American Gemological Institute's Diamond Graduate Course and absorbed as much knowledge as she could about the business world. In 2004, Zeller opened Tracy Zeller Jewelry. The following year, she added a home decor division. In 2006, her husband Jim joined the business as chief financial officer. That same year, the marketing division was launched. In 2008, the Tracy Zeller shoe division was added, and in 2009, a line of handbags and accessories was introduced and the shoe division was renamed Tracy Zeller style. Plans are in place for further expansion of the business in 2010 and beyond. Zeller contributes to the community through donations and active memberships in a number of organizations, including the Women's Fund of Vanderburgh County, Kiwanis Club, and the Vanderburgh County Humane Society. In addition to numerous committee memberships, she also serves on the board of directors of Community Marriage Builders and A Network of Evansville Women (ANEW). She is a regular guest on WFIE Channel 14's "Ask the Expert" segment on Midday with Mike Blake, and also is a featured spokesperson on WTVW Fox 7's Tri-State Professional. Evansville Living magazine readers voted her the Best of Evansville in 2008 and 2009, ANEW presented her with the Woman of Action award in 2009, and the Chamber of Commerce of Southwest Indiana named her 2009's Entrepreneur of the Year.
