Parents and teachers are not allowed in the display area during the judging/interview process. A special waiting area will be provided. All students will be released no later than 7:30 p.m. All projects will be on public display from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, March 12. There also will be a chemistry demonstration on campus that day from 11 to 11:45 a.m. in Education Center Room 1101. The awards ceremony will be held at 6:30 p.m. that evening in Mitchell Auditorium in the Health Professions Center, with the winning projects on display. Students from within a 75-mile radius of Evansville are eligible to participate in the fair. The fair has grown every year since it has been held at USI, but this year is the largest to date with the inclusion of fourth- and fifth-grade through high school students. The move to include fourth- and fifth-graders is an effort to better align the local fair with the state-level Hoosier Science and Engineering Fair and the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair. |
