Registration still available for Living with Grief teleconference

It's not too late to register for the 2010 Hospice Foundation of America "Living with Grief Teleconference: Cancer and End-of-Life Care," which will take place from 12:30 to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, March 24 in the Health Professions Center, Room 1027.

Hosted by the University of Southern Indiana, the teleconference will focus on care options for cancer diagnoses as well as loss and grief reactions for patients, families, and professional caregivers. The teleconference will also examine psychosocial aspects of cancer, pain management, and ethical issues.

Program panelists will include Yvette Colon, PhD, MSW, Director of Education and Support at American Pain Foundation Malene Davis, MBA, CHPN, President and CEO at Capital Hospice Kenneth J. Doka, PhD, MDiv, Professor of Gerontology at The College of New Rochelle and Senior Consultant to Hospice Foundation of America Richard Payne, MD, Director of the Duke Institute on Care at the End-of-Life Sherry R Schachter, PhD, FT, Director Bereavement Services at Calvary Hospital/Hospice and Brad Stuart, MD, Medical Director at Sutter VNA & Hospice.

The program is free and open to the public. There is a charge of $25 to $35 for those wanting to receive Continuing Education credits.
