SwiSTEM to hold second annual Project Lead the Way Conference

Brandi Schwartz Marketing Coordinator Outreach & Engagement 812/464-1854 Sophomores, juniors, and seniors from Project Lead the Way schools in Southwest Indiana who have pre-registered for the conference will attend hands-on workshops, presentations, and panel discussions related to careers in the engineering field. Student check-in for the conference will take place from 8 to 8:30 a.m. and will be followed with a keynote address by Leah Curry, assistant general manager of Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Indiana, Inc., (TMMI) body weld shop. A bridge design contest, a bridge designer contest, a robotics workshop, and an electrical concept workshop will be held from 9:30 to 11:45 a.m. Lunch for registered students will be served at noon with exhibits and a showcase from area employers and organizations on site until 1:30 p.m. For more information, contact David Ellert, instructor in engineering and coordinator of engineering outreach, at 812/464-1883. |
