ASQ conference to be held at USI

Brandi Schwartz Marketing Coordinator Outreach & Engagement 812/464-1854 With twelve instructor-led classes to choose from, the conference will leverage the complementary strengths from ASQ′s knowledge base. The event will provide participants with a diverse opportunity to learn about lean, teamwork, and quality methods while networking with other quality and business professionals. Mike Micklewright, author of "Out of Another @#%^! Crisis" and "Lean ISO 9001," will deliver the keynote address, "What Would Deming Say?" The presentation will examine the viewpoints of Dr. W. Edwards Deming and how they might translate in today′s trends in Lean, Six Sigma, Lean Six Sigma, Root Cause Analysis, and ISO 9001. Micklewright specializes in Lean, ISO 9001, Leadership, Deming, Auditing, and Root Cause Analysis. He is an ASQ Certified Six Sigma Black Belt, quality auditor, quality engineer, manager of quality/operational excellence, and Supply Chain Analyst. Conference registration is $25 for students or $50 for non-students and includes breakfast, lunch, and snacks. Registration will be $75 after Wednesday, April 21.
