Women's, Chamber choirs to perform at Rice Library

The USI Women's Choir and USI Chamber Choir will present their Spring Concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 2, in the Grand Reading Room of the Rice Library.

The 18-voice Women's Choir will sing selected folk songs from the British Isles, Madrigals and Exaudi Laudate, and sacred work by Beverly Patton.

The USI Chamber Choir will present works by Sweelink, Monteverdi, Berkey, and a set of Irish Traditional songs accompanied by Rowan Tree, Evansville's own Irish traditional band.

This performance by the Chamber Choir is a prelude to their upcoming concert tour to Ireland, May 10-18, 2010.

The concert is free and open to the public.
