Eagles start series action Sunday

USI Post-Season Game Notes Link to Live Audio (WPSR 90.7 HD2) Link to Live Video (NCAA.com) Link to Live Statistics The ninth-ranked University of Southern Indiana baseball team opens NCAA Division II Championship Series action Sunday at 4 p.m. against 11th-ranked Minnesota State University-Mankato at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, North Carolina. USI (48-13) is making its second appearance in the NCAA II National Championship Series, which runs through May 29. USI and MSU (44-14) are joined in bracket two by sixth-ranked Kutztown University (41-13) and 13th-ranked Franklin Pierce (41-15-1). Kutztown and Franklin Pierce are scheduled to play the first game Sunday at noon (CDT). Bracket one, which begins play Saturday, features top-ranked University of California San Diego (51-7), second-ranked Tampa University (46-9), third-ranked Central Missouri State University (51-9), and fourth-ranked Georgia College & State University (39-15). CMSU and Tampa start the national championship series Saturday at 1 p.m., while UC San Diego and Georgia College conclude the first day of action at 5 p.m. Fans can follow the Eagles throughout the NCAA II Championship Series through the airwaves and the internet.
